Why not a local SIM or roaming?
Internet in the USA
The biggest US networks are AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Cities and highways have good 4G and 5G coverage, but in national parks (such as the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone) and sparsely populated areas there can be no signal for long stretches.
The USA isn't in the EU. EU roaming doesn't apply there, so an EU mobile plan charges data at its operator's roaming rates. It's usually one of the most expensive destinations on European operators' price lists. With an eSIM you're online right at the airport: for Uber or Lyft, navigation and messages.
